Weather Vane Fabrication and Restoration
Weather Vanes which are normally situated at the topmost point of historic buildings, castles and churches are subject to the severest weather conditions. Decorative wrought iron, steel kingpins and
posts of early construction deteriorate over the years.
Spalling of the stone due to corrosion of the steel takes place and this is happening above ground level. Carbon steel cramps are also a problem to our historic buildings which again causes
spalling of the stone and mortar bed.
E.P. Services refurbish damaged vanes, fabricate and install new steel posts and decorative steel. We can remove corroded carbon steel cramps and substitute with a non ferrous metal.
